The 23rd edition of the Responsible Seafood Summit, co-hosted by Seafood Scotland, will be held at the Fairmont St Andrews on Scotland’s historic east coast from Oct. 21 to 24, 2024. Registration is now open. Get on our mailing list to receive updates.
This is the world’s only seafood event focused on bridging the differences and nurturing the commonalities between aquaculture and fisheries. The Summit features a carefully curated, forward-thinking program with around 50 speakers who identify emerging issues before they become challenges and develop a long-term strategy addressing those challenges.
Between 400 and 500 seafood professionals representing the entire value chain attend the Summit to be active participants in the development of a healthy, responsible seafood community.
The 2024 event will be held on the east coast of Scotland at the Fairmont St Andrews, Scotland’s largest conference facility, with more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space and 220 guest rooms.
Dramatic cliff-top views of the wild North Sea define Fairmont St Andrews’ private 520-acre estate. This breathtaking resort in St Andrews, the Home of Golf, is also one of the largest and most luxurious conference venues in Scotland.
The Summit has a discounted hotel room block at the Fairmont. Rooms can be reserved online.

GSA’s exclusive production forecasts for farmed shrimp and farmed finfish have been fixtures of the Responsible Seafood Summit for almost 20 years. Once again in 2023 the results of GSA’s aquaculture production survey were presented and analyzed by Rabobank’s Gorjan Nikolik (pictured), with contributions from Ragnar Nystøyl and Chris van Bussel, both of Kontali. Additionally, Urner Barry’s Angel Rubio provided production and trade data for a number of key wild seafood species, including lobster, crab, groundfish and wild salmon.
